Our History
We started as a simple activist group but have since grown into a full-fledged non-for-profit that is capable of taking on the biggest challenges we face environmentally. Here’s a quick look at how we got to where we are today.
Our first set of members got together in a garage to plan community sustainability awareness events and a local recycling group.
We officially organized into a nonprofit. This was a big step for us since it finally enabled us to fully apply 100% of donated funds to our cause.
Our first satellite office opened overseas and we became a true global organization.
This year we are expanding to include third party organizations in our network, as well as adding office in 10 more countries putting us on (almost) every continent, leaving us a goal to reach Antartica by 2017.
